Mrs. Mary Sue Wright Barnes, age 72, a resident of Hicks Lane, passed away on Thursday, December 28, at her sister's residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barnes will be conducted Saturday at
2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Anthony Muston officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 4:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Willard and Susie Staggs Wright. She was the wife of the late Clayton Barnes. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters: Vickie Byron Steward of Williamsport and Kim David Sharpton of Columbia; three sons: William Dale Dorris Barnes of Goodlettsville, Ron Barnes of Columbia and Mike Duane Barnes of Santa Fe; two grandchildren: Clay Barnes of Santa Fe and Will Steward of Williamsport; three step-grandchildren: Candi Davis of Goodlettsville, Will Sharpton of Columbia and Grant Sharpton of Columbia; one sister and loving caregiver: Willadean Herbert Church of Columbia; special nephew: Mark Geraldine Amis of Shady Grove; special friends: Clifford and Sissy White and Billie ?Nannie? Ridley, all of Columbia; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Truelove, Glenn Nelson, Joe Brown, Clifford White, Randy Emmitt and Steve Stanfill. Honorary pallbearers will be Herbert Church, Mark Whisnant, Robert Hines, Paul Cothran, Jeremy Cothran, Jeffrey Cothran and Steve Secrest.
