Mary Smith, age 55, of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mary was born on January 13, 1959 in Pulaski, Tennessee to Marion Juanita Branch and the late Joe Thomas Branch. She worked as a CNA for 18 years, always being willing to go above and beyond in her care for her patients. Many times she even went so far as to work off the clock to make sure that everyone was taken care of. She could be mad at you and love you at the same time. She was known for always smiling until her passing.
Ms. Smith is survived by her mother: Marion Juanita Branch; sister, Brenda Faye Branch of Columbia; brothers: Joe Branch, Jr. and Jerry Branch; nephew: Jason Powell; special friends: Deb Parton and Christopher Kittrell; great nephew: Braden Powell; niece: Wanda Faye Branch and great nieces: Lexi Powell and Emma Powell.
The family will celebrate Mary’s life with a private memorial service at a later date.
