Mary Ruth Hickman

Mrs. Mary Ruth Baker Hickman, 94, a resident of Gardner Drive in Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, September 6, 2002 at Hillview Health Care.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hickman will be conducted Sunday, September 8, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Andrew Wolcott and Dennis Altrogge officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.
The Madison County, North Carolina native was the daughter of the late J.H. and Lella Ann Jones Baker. She was a homemaker and caregiver for the elderly and the sick in her home. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Columbia.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Wendell Cooper of Nashville, TN; two sons, Donald Betty Hickman and Patrick Geraldine Hickman both of Mt. Pleasant; four granddaughters, Janice Hickman Mike Mabry, Sandra Hickman Fred Selle, and Lynn Hickman Paul Keltner all of Columbia and Sheila Hickman Tony Rountree of Mt. Pleasant; five great grandchildren, Laura Beth Johnson, Martha Marie Johnson, and Merri Jo Johnson all of Columbia, Anna Grace Rountree and T.J. Rountree both of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers.
Pallbearers will be Fred Selle, Mike Mabry, Tony Rountree, Brandon Sparkman, Paul Keltner, Chris Hughes, and T.J. Rountree. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Columbia and Dr. and Mrs. Ambrose Langa.
Memorials may be to the Seventh Day Adventist Church Building Fund 870 Mooresville Pike Columbia, Tennessee 38401.
