Mary Lou Robinson, age 73, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014, at Life Care Center in Columbia, Tennessee.
Mary was born in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee on July 28, 1940 to the late John E. Robinson and the late Lizzie Mae Thomas Robinson. She was a member of Graymere Church of Christ and her favorite verse was from Phil. 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” The family remembers that she always had a smile on her face and loved to tell jokes. She loved taking care of her flowers and listening to her wind chimes. She loved talking to friends and family, and her favorite saying was, “Fine and dandy like a box of candy”.
She is survived by her daughters: Sandra K. (Ronnie) Davis and Beverly A. Minor, both of Columbia; grandchildren: Jennifer Tucker, Amanda McDowell, Mary Beth Barnett, Donald Estes and Michael Estes, 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grand-daughter; and a special friend: Mary Wagster Lunn. In addition to her parents she preceded in death by her daughter: Nancy L. Estes and sister: Marie Graham.
Funeral services for Ms. Robinson will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Wendell Robinson officiating. Mary Lou’s wishes are for everyone to bring laughter and no tears to celebrate her life. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday also at the funeral home.
Men from Graymere Church of Christ will serve as pallbearers. Wanda Robinson Sunday School Class and the staff at Life Care Center, South Hall will serve as honorary pallbearers.
