Mary Okalene Stokes

June 27, 1929 — September 17, 2005

Mrs. Mary Okalene Hall Stokes, a resident of Rutherford Lane in Columbia, died Saturday, September 17, 2005.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stokes will be conducted Monday, September 19, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Eugene Shelton officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Mt. Pleasant native was the daughter of the late Frank Cheatham and Virginia Adams Hall and the husband of Robert Lee ?Bob? Stokes, Sr. Mrs. Stokes was a former telephone operator for Southern Bell and a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting , knitting, gardening and was an accomplished painter and pianist. She was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Michael L. Patricia Stokes of Madison, AL and Robert Lee Denise Stokes, Jr. of Franklin, TN; one sister, Margaret Loftin Moore of Lynnville, TN; two brothers, Wayne Christine Hall and Jerry Angela Hall both of Mt. Pleasant, TN; grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Stokes and Kathryn Anne Stokes both of Madison, AL, Robert lee Stokes, III and Ashley Marie Stokes of Franklin, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rob Stokes, Harry Montgomery, Patrick Schipani, Tony Hall, Jeremy Hall and Devin Hall.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Sunday School Class at Grace Church of the Nazarene.

Memorials may be made to the Grace Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 2320 Highland Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401.
