Mary Nell Smith

Miss Mary Nell Smith, 75, a resident of Rolling Fields Circle in Columbia, died Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
Graveside services for Miss Smith will be conducted Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Arlington Cemetery with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Columbia Funeral Home.
Born in Martin, Tn., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Farmer and Roberta Phillips Smith. She was a retired bookkeeper for Rippey Auto Parts.
She is survived by a sister, Joan Bracey of Antioch, Tn.; four nephews, Bobby Matlock, Chip Matlock, Phil Matlock and Jimmy Anderson, all of Columbia; a niece, Shannon Forsythe of Florence, Al., and a brother-in-law, Robert Matlock of Columbia.
Pallbearers will be members of the family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Widick, Dan Waller, Donald Cates, Wanda Tomlin, Sara Johnson, Randy and Rhonda Hardison, Louise Call and Sara Dooley.
