Mary Lucille Chambers

Mrs. Mary Lucille Shelton Chambers, age 78, a resident of Todd Carter Road in Columbia, passed away Saturday, January 24, at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Chambers will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, January 26 at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Les Albritton officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 11:00 Am to 8:00 Pm at the funeral home.

Born in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie Curtis Shelton and the wife of Curtis Chambers. She was a homemaker and a founding member of the New Life Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Linda Jane Pirtle of Colburn, VA, Curtis E. Chambers Jr. of Columbia, Roberta Marie Wayne Jones of Hohenwald, Marilyn Les Albritton of Mt. Pleasant, James Edward Chambers of Columbia, Pamela Denise R.P. Jones of Murfreesboro and Beverly Diane Jerry Flowers of Pulaski; sister: Annie Irene Moore of Nashville; brother: Jerry Lu Shelton of Pulaski; grandchildren: Doug Raymond, Thomas Ira Raymond, Brian Curtis Chambers, Donald Chris Holcomb, Marilyn Nicole Wilbanks, Kayla Marie Jones, John Conley Brewer, Steven Lynn Hay, Michael Shawn Jones, Kim Chambers, Jennifer Chambers, Jessica Foster, Thomas Ira Chambers, Linda Jane Woody, Teri Chambers, Brittany Francis, Jerry Calvin Francis, Stephen Flowers, Bryan Flowers and Brandon Flowers; numerous great-grandchildren; special friends: Bro. Steve Russell and Billy and Martha Owens. She was preceded in death by her children: Thomas Ira Parr and Lois Ann Tauer; siblings: Betty Jean Rosson, Shirley Ruth Smith, Rip Shelton and Addie Shelton; grandchildren: Jennifer Carol Glenn, John Curtis Glenn and Linda Faye Raymon.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Ira Raymond, Jerry Calvin Francis, Donald Chris Holcomb, John Conley Brewer, Steven Lynn Hay and Michael Shawn Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be R.P. Jones, Wayne Jones, Coy Reeves and the church families of New Life Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, House of Prayer in Henryville and the Apostolic Life Church in Loretto.
