Mary Louise Lentz

Mrs. Mary Louise Patrick Lentz, age 78, resident of General Roberts Drive in Columbia, surrounded by her family, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lentz will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ with Rev. Henry Mobley officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday and from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.

Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is in charge of the arrangements.

Born May 28, 1932 in Cotton Town, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Ivy Sue Brown Patrick. She was married for 48 years to Paul Lentz of Columbia. She worked at Hazel Atlas Bottling Company in Illinois. Her last job was at Weather Tamer. She loved working in her garden, sewing, and reading. She collected light houses, praying hands and angels. Her passion was spending time and money on her grandchildren. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Valentina Dan VunCannon of Culleoka; a grandson, Pauldaniel "Buddy" VunCannon of Culleoka; a granddaughter, Rachel Naomi VunCannon of Culleoka; a niece, Pattie Holliday of Miami, FL. and a nephew, Johnny Earley of Fort Ogle Thorpe, GA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Pollett and a brother Roderick Patrick.

Active pallbearers will be Dan VunCannon, Pauldaniel VunCannon, Chase VunCannon, James Gibson, David Parker, Sr. and Terry Malcolm. Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.
