Mrs. Mary Louise Whitehead Gaines, age 53, a resident of 4th Street in Lawrenceburg, passed away Tuesday, October 5th at Crockett Hospital.
Born December 11, 1956 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Betty Blanche McWilliams Whitehead. She was the wife of Bobby Gaines of Lawrenceburg. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and a homemaker. She loved watching her soap operas and loved when her grandchildren come around and loved listening to them play music. She loved spending time with her dog, Killer.
She is survived by her children: Kymberly A. Carl Doub and Jerald C. Carla Head of Summertown and their father, Bobby Head, Deborah K. Todd Peters of Lawrenceburg; step-son: Irging Gaines of Lawrenceburg; sisters and brothers: Linda Morton, Eddie Margie Whitehead, Katherine Monk Woodard, Faye Leslie Burns of Mt. Pleasant and Johnny KimWhitehead of Pulaski; grandchildren: Khiana Doub, Connor Doub, Khinzley Doub, Gabby Stone and Caleb Brock. She was preceded in death by a friend: Jason Jackson, a sister, Jewel David Estes and a brother Chuck Whitehead of Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gaines will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, October 8th in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Hill Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jerald "Casey" Head, Carl Doub, Brandon Burns, Brent Burns, Doug Woodard, Timmy Woodard and Jimmy Woodard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mary's brothers and sisters and grandchildren.
