Mary Lou Ballard

March 5, 1921 — June 12, 2007

Mrs. Mary Lou Burch Ballard, age 86, a resident of Garden Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ballard will be conducted Thursday, June 14 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Tommy Hagewood and Jim Walsh officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home

Born in Dickson County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Bertha Lyons Burch and the wife of the late Robert L. Ballard, Jr. She was a homemaker, life member of the Mt. Pleasant Band Boosters, avid supporter of Mt. Pleasant High School Football and a member of the Locust Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children; Linda Lou John Dugger of Mt. Pleasant, Jerry Lee Lana Ballard, Sr. of Enid, OK and Larry Gene Faye Ballard of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Laverne Van Eaton of Newbern, TN; brother, Billy Nita Burch of Vanleer, TN; grandchildren, Tammy Randy Eastep of Mt. Pleasant, Pam Terry Parham of Culleoka, Lee Ann Condley Parson of Mt. Pleasant, Valerie Barry McDaniel of Mt. Pleasant, Jerry L. Ballard, Jr. of La Vergne, TN, Robert D. Ballard of Enid, OK, Stacey Sue Roberts of Hampshire and John Holly Dugger, II of Mt. Pleasant; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Burch, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Charles ?Spud? Crotzer, Hendley Edwards, Tommy Wolaver, Jim Spears, Johnny Gibson, Harold Henson, Terry Chapman, Barry Crotzer and Mike Dugger. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Locust St. Church of Christ, Mt. Pleasant H.S. Band Boosters, Becky & Clifford King, Judy & Donnie Grimes, Bonnie & George Brooks, Kay & Jim Spears, Linda & Jerry Young, Margaret & Rufus Clifford, Thetus & Mary Hill Horner, Elizabeth & Howard Camp, Dalton & Ann Cole, Linda Raye Wood, Dr. Thomas Dake and Dr. Terri Lord.
