Mary Lois Waldrop Knight

Mary Lois Waldrop Knight, age 70, born to the late Roy Lee and Gladys Lorena Brown Waldrop, passed away at her residence in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee on Thursday, April 30, 2015.

Mary was the self-appointed photographer of the family, chronicling almost 50 years of pictures. She enjoyed gardening and travel, which included morning walks on the beach collecting sea shells. She also loved sewing and was quite gifted at it being able to make clothes, doll and even seat covers. Basically, if she decided she wanted to make it, she could fashion it, and it would turn out beautifully. However, her family was her greatest joy, buying them whatever small token she found that was fitting just for them.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony for Mary Lois will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant at 2:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Knight leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her son Keith (Tonia) Kelley, grandsons Evan Kelley, Justin (Lauren) Carter and Jared Carter, and her constant companion, her dachshund, Penny. She is survived by siblings J. W. (Phyllis) Waldrop, Raymond (Sue) Waldrop, Carolyn (Steve) Boshers, Linda (and the late Sherrill) Clawson, Wanda Hyatt, Donald (Debbie) Waldrop and numerous nieces and nephews whom she thought the world of. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Knight.
