Miss Mary Katherine Cushman, 90, a resident of Daytona, FL, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2006 at Olds Hall Good Samaritan Hospital in Daytona, FL.
Graveside services for Miss Cushman will be conducted Friday, March 3, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Rose Hill Cemetery in the family lot, with Reverend Larry Deitch of Daytona, FL, officiating. Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is in charge of arrangements..
Born in Hopkinsville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Cushman, who operated the Maury Laundry on South Main Street in Columbia. She moved to Daytona in 1951. She was a member of the Daytona Beach Drive-In Church, the DAR and past Florida State Governor of the Society of Mayflower Decendants. She attended Julliard Music School in New York City, Pianist Emeritus of the Daytona Beach Drive-In Church and retired after 29 years as a piano teacher.
