Mary Frances Howell Blackwood

Mary Frances Howell Blackwood, age 78, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on October 5, 2021, in Summertown, Tennessee.
Mary was born March 7, 1943, to the late John and Mary Lucille “Graham” Howell in Maury County, Tennessee.

Mary got married to the love of her life, Arlind Blackwood, on August 25, 1995. Together, they spent many adventures over the years together. Mary enjoyed fishing and camping with her husband. When she caught a big fish, she would ever so quietly unhook the fish and release it back.

Other than fishing and camping, Mary was a talented seamstress and could sew just about anything. She especially liked to sew quilts together.
Mary was a devoted Christian and taught Sunday school classes for many years. Mary was also a very talented cook and could make absolutely anything.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Arlind; daughter: Vicky Carol Ables (Richard); stepchildren: Lorie Lineberry, Denise Staggs ( Gary), Shane Blackwood (Jennifer), and Jennifer Hood (Jeff); and several grandchildren.

Visitation for Mary will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. A service for Mary will be held, Friday, October 8, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home, in Columbia, Tennessee. Burial will follow at Summertown Cemetery in Summertown, Tennessee.
