Mary Frances Clarke

Miss Mary Frances Clarke, 85, a resident of Stewart Street in Columbia, died Tuesday January 14, 2003 at NHC Hillview.
The Funeral Mass for Miss Clarke will be recited Friday, January 17, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St Catherine Catholic Church with Father Patrick Connor and Rev. Tom Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary service at Williams Columbia Funeral Home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Michael Brennan and Elizabeth Thomas Clarke. She was a retired cashier at National Life and Accident Insurance Company, where she was employed for 39 years. She was a member of St Catherine Catholic Church. She was a direct descendant of Benjamin Thomas, one of the original settlers of Maury County.
She is survived by several cousins, including Bob Thomas and Jean Thomas of Columbia.
Active Pallbearers will be John O'Connor, Timothy O'Connor, Edward O'Connor, Sr., Mike Thomas, Michael Williams, Randy Sparkman, Paul Franklin and Pat Held. Honorary Pallbearers will be Herman Strobl, Bob Thomas, Dr. Taylor Rayburn, Dr. William G. Fuqua, Dr. John Simmons, Dr. Campbell Sowell, William Reischman, Monty Gilliam, Johnny Steele, Bobby Mc Peak, Kevin Thompson, Earl Rhodes, James C. Lester, Ralph Wilson, Walter Jewell, and J. L. Held.
