Mrs. Mary Ella England, age70, a resident of First Ave. in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, April 20, at Alive Hospice of Nashville.

Funeral services for Mrs. England will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Jack Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born January 13, 1939 in Maury County, Mary Ella was the daughter of the late Russell and Cornelia Cook Scott and the wife of Neal W. England, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant. She was a part time floral designer for BoKay Florist and later, worked from her home. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters: Theresa Neely Craig of Scottsboro, AL and Renee Emmitt of Mt. Pleasant; a son: Jonathan England of Mt. Pleasant; sister: Faye Jim Bratton of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Layne Janet Craig of Columbia, Mary Kendall Ed Jordon of Rainsville, AL, Melissa Wade Sims of Huntsville, AL, Kerri Kelley and Cassie Clausen, both of Mt. Pleasant and Ashleigh Emmitt of Columbia; great grandchildren: Jamie Westmoreland of Camp La June, NC, Audrey Westmoreland of Rainsville, AL, Jansen Woodard of Mt. Pleasant, Tiffany Craig and Brent Craig, both of Columbia; great-great grandchildren: Jordan Zaidan and Aiden McLaughlin, both of Columbia; lifelong friend: Drucilla Floyd of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by a son: Douglas Wayne Thomason, Jr.; a brother: Russell P. Scott, Jr.; a grandson: Lance Emmitt and a great grandson: Jansen Craig

Pallbearers will be Ed Jordan, Layne Craig, Scotty Polk, Miller Polk, Tim Warf and Todd Warf. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Doug Kennedy, Dr. Robert McClure and the Harvesters Sunday School class of First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

The family has requested that memorials be made to the Alive Hospice of Nashville, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203 or to the charity of your choice.
