Mrs. Mary Frances Drummond Drane, age90, passed away on November 3, 2013 at her home.
She was born on January 23, 1923 to the late Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Drummond, and was one of seven children, of whom she was the last survivor.
Mrs. Drane is remembered by her family as a loving wife of a career military husband for whom she patiently waited on for his return through three wars. Her life was built around raising her three children and once they were grown, she turned her attention and love to her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as MerMer. But her first thoughts were always for her husband of 72 years, whose needs always came before her own. She was a Christian woman whose kind heart and kind words will always be remembered by those whose lives she touched. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant.
Mrs. Drane is survived by her beloved husband: Watson Albert Drane; children: Kay (Bobby) Lynn of Moss Point, MS, Bonnie (George) Brooks and Randy (Sherry) Drane; grandchildren Michael (Mary) Lynn, Todd (Laura) Lynn, Kiley (Jennifer) Lynn, Alicia Hardison (Casey) Derryberry, Jonathan Mark (Stephanie) Brooks, Carrie (Stan) Bell, Chuck (Amy) Drane and Holly (Damien) Prince; step-grandchildren: Tiffany (Manuel) Dimaio, and April( Fred) Sargenson; great-grandchildren: Jared, Alexis, Maren, Mason, Olivia, Belle, Bo, Stanton, Cardon, Sarah Beth, Peyton, Ani and Adelyn and 6 step-great-grandchildren.
