Mary Dale Norman Crotzer

Mary Dale Norman Crotzer, age 79, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, June 03, 2014 at Life Care Center of Columbia.

Mary Dale was born on April 3, 1935 to the late Russell Norman and the late Leona Sharber Norman in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. She was the youngest of five siblings. She was a graduate of the Haylong High School, Class of 1953. Her love for Mt. Pleasant was deep and strong. She knew all of its history and was a strong supporter. She also loved her family deeply and followed their goings on with deep interest and affection. She was known for reading the paper avidly to see if her family members were mentioned in any local newspapers. If so, she cut the articles and pictures out and mailed them immediately to make sure they had a copy. She was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ.

Ms. Crotzer is survived by her children: Barry (Joyce) Crotzer of Columbia and Adam (Julie) Crotzer of Spring Hill; grandchildren: Chris (Michelle) McClain, Jenna Crotzer, Chase Mayton, Cameron Mayton, Kristyn Crotzer, and Abigail Crotzer; great-grandchildren: Jordan McClain and Brittany McClain; nephews and nieces: Bobby Norman, Jane Parson, Shirley Norman, Sissy Pfeiffer, Phil Clark and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son: Charles Linden Crotzer, Jr.; brother: Robert Norman; sisters: Gracie Dodson, Polly Pressnell and Betty Clark.

Funeral services for Ms. Crotzer will be on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Franklin Williams officiating. Barney Burns will lead the singing. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Danny Couples, Jerry Hamilton, Hal Pressnell, Cameron Mayton, Jordan McClain and Chase Mayton will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and administration of Life Care Center and Mike Pfeiffer.
