Mrs. Mary Lou Clymer

Mrs. Mary Lou Clymer, age 82, of Columbia, passed away on Monday, December 31 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Clymer was born December 18, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, TN, the daughter of the late Charles Herman Green and Lucy Short Green. She was wife of 61 years of the late Ernest S. Clymer who preceded her in death on October 30, 2010. She was a loving wife and mother who cherished her family and whose passion was cooking for family get togethers. Mary Lou was a member of Riverview Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for a number of years.

Survivors include four daughters, Julie (Billy) Allen of Raleigh, NC, Theresa Barker of Columbia, Sandra (James) Linam of Murfreesboro and Paula (Vance) Belew of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Alisha Allen and Stephanie (Jeff) Meier both of Raleigh, NC, Gary (Crystal) Barker of Columbia, Patrick (Cherie) Linam of Murfreesboro, Jonathan Linam of Fairbanks, AK, Lucas Linam of Murfreesboro, Bryant Belew and Eric Belew, both of Columbia; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Allen and Jarrett Meier, both of Raleigh, NC and Grayson Barker of Columbia; siblings: Elaine Huckaby, Wayne (Trisha) Green and Emily (Glen) Mabry all of Columbia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clymer will be conducted Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Ezell Rose, David Buffaloe and Jerry Bridenbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bill Allen, Jim Linam, Vance Belew, Bryant Belew, Eric Belew, Lucas Linam, Patrick Linam, Jonathan Linam, Gary Barker and Jeff Meier. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Riverview Baptist Church.
