Mary Ellen Angus

Mary Ellen Angus, 88, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on September 20, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

She was born on March 30, 1929 to George Hays and Carry Russell in Pulaski, Giles County, Tennessee. She married Raymond Dean Angus on February 14, 1952 who preceded her in death on January 26, 1994. Mary retired after twenty years at Kay Windsor Shirt Factory. She loved the outdoors. Her pride and joy were her dogs Willie, Harley and Riley. She was a long-time member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Mary is survived by her children: Jerry Angus, Sheila (Ronnie) Beuerlein, Donna Dunnavant and Terry Angus; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mary will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church on Nashville Highway with Pastor Chuck Westra officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.

Reyburn Angus, Jon Angus, Steven Jones, Kelly Claybourne, Dalton Thomas and Jason Hill will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of the Critical Care Unit at Maury Regional Medical Center.
