Mrs. Martha Virginia Andrews Green West Himes, 80, a resident of Davis Drive in Columbia, passed away on Saturday, September 29, at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Himes will be conducted Tuesday October 2, at 11:00 A.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Johnny Parish, Gilley Andrews and Pastor Frances Orr officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 5:00- 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 4:00- 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Herman and Mary Dark Andrews Jones and the widow of James Ersley Himes. She was a retired decorator and a member of the Booker Ridge Orginial Church of God.
She is survived by four daughters: Virginia Jimmie Harris of Columbia, Ruthie Osborne and Pam Finerty both of Mt. Pleasant, Tammy Runions of Columbia; one brother: Thomas Andrews of Hampshire; eleven grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son: Lindsey Buddy Green; two brothers, James and Horace Andrews; four sisters, Lucille Taylor, Mildred Mills, Ruth Parish and Mai Corvin.
Pallbearers will be Dow Corvin, Mark Parish, Paul Corvin, Jerry Corvin, Gerry Colvett, Charlie Carpenter, Tommy Ramsey and Thomas Vaughn.
Honorary pallbearer will be Nurses of Caris Healthcare, Dr. Charles Ball, Dr. James Fitts and Dr. Janice Vincent.
