Martha Sue Holt

Mrs. Martha Sue Massey Holt, 87, a resident of N. Locust Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday at Ridgetop Haven Nursing Home in Ridgetop, TN.
Graveside services for Mrs. Holt will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Bro. Justin Owens officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Born December 12, 1921 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late George T. and Laura Estelle Massey and the wife of the late Clifford Eugene "Gene" Holt, whom she married December 14, 1940 and preceded her in death in 1996. She was a wonderful wife and mother and in her earlier years she was hairdresser. Mrs. Holt was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son: Lewis W. Janice Holt of Nashville; granddaughter: Vicki Nixon of Springfield; great grandson: Logan Nixon of Springfield; brother: Sherman Rachel Massey of Cross Bridges; nieces: Sherrell Hickman of Cross Bridges and Debbie Harkins of Alabama. She was preceded in death by sisters: Marie Massey and Elsie Green; brother: George T. Massey, Jr.
Memorials may be made to the Alive Hospice of Nashville, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203
