Martha “Ann” Stacey Howard, 84, a former resident of Maury County, passed away Sunday, June 26, at her home. Ann was such a caring person and loved everybody, especially her family. She loved to cook, entertain, and to go fishing. Her nickname was “Mother Ann” because she was loved by all who knew her. Ann was very patriotic. She was also a UT fan and loved the state of Tennessee.
Funeral services for Mrs. Howard will be at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia on Wednesday, June 29 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service in Haynes Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, June 28, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Kenneth Stacey, Ray Stacey, Mark Stacey, Jeff Stacey, John Howard, and Chris Yancey.
Survivors for Ann include: her husband, Willie Howard; four daughters: Wanda (Bob) Stockard, Leigh Ann (Richard) Jones, Paula (Rick) Sanders, and Tracy Howard; son, Tony Howard; sister, Mary Jo Yancey; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, David Howard; and two daughters, Donna and Ramona Howard.
