Mrs. Martha A. Hall Kelly, long time resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday afternoon at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Kelly was the daughter of the late James Ernest Hall and Hattie Virginia Thomason Hall. Martha was a 1950 graduate of Hay Long High School in Mt. Pleasant. She retired from Publix Shirt Factory in quality control and was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles E. Mary Hall of Columbia and Roy D. Virginia Hall of Newnan, GA; a special niece, Mary Carolyn Thomason of Columbia along with nieces, Jennifer Carroll and Pam Hardin of Camden, Lauren H all Levaughn of Castle Rock, CO' and a nephew, Richard Lankford of Camden. Martha is also survived by a special friend, Betty Wren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Hall Loy and Dorothy Hall Lankford and a brother, Ernest Hall, Jr.
A graveside entombment service for Mrs. Kelley will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 P.M. at the Polk Memorial Mausoleum with Rev. Gary Wedgewood officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers will be David Arbuckle, Robert "Bobby" Bowen, Charles Crotzer, Jimmy McClain, Virgil Stewart, Colton Charles Thomason and Terry Thomason. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 1950 graduating class of Hay Long High School.
