Martha Ann Davis

Martha Ann Davis, age 80, passed away Monday, November 8th, 2021 in Columbia, Tennessee. Martha was born to the late Charlie and Mable Sims on March 31st, 1941.

Martha was born a hard worker. She cleaned houses for over 40 years, building quite a clientele as well as many long-lasting relationships with them. She retired from Publix before moving on to her housekeeping endeavors.

Martha was a strong woman with a huge, loving heart. She devoted herself to her Lord and Savior and would read her bible any moment she could. Her quiet times of devotion fulfilled Martha with so much purpose. After spending time reading the Lord’s word, she would go out and enjoy His creation around her lake and home. She spent her time picking up sticks and admiring all of His animals, especially her three little dogs and her little party of ducks. Martha was full of gratitude to be able to enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

Above all else, Martha adored her family and loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She will be so deeply missed.

The family will receive family and friends Sunday, November 14th, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A funeral service for Ms. Martha will be held Monday, November 15th, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with Bro. Bobby Smart officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.

In addition to her beloved husband, Bobby Davis, Martha is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Billy Sims, Sonny Sims, and Katherine Lovell.

Martha is survived by her brother: Donald Ray Sims, as well as her children: Thomas Beard, Tim (Kim) Beard, and Geoff Beard; grandchildren: Liz (Mark) Mckinney, Brittany (Adam) Beard, Timmy (Allyson) Beard, Kallee (Alexia) Angus, and Kayne Beard; and eight great-grandkids.

Pallbearers will be: Timmy Beard, Robby Daniels, Adam Runions, Ricky Lovell, Troy Lovell, Chris Lindsey.
