Rockvale

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mark Allen Floyd on Friday, December 22, 2023, at his home in Rockvale, TN. Mark was born on April 25, 1970, in Murfreesboro, TN, to Connie E. Floyd and the late Melvin Floyd. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, humor, and an unwavering love for family.

Mark spent his formative years in the Murfreesboro area, graduating from Oakland High School in 1988 before earning his associate’s degree. A man of ambition, Mark went on to establish and operate his own business, Auction Games Sales, where he poured his passion and dedication into his work.

Known for his industrious nature, Mark balanced his strong work ethic with an infectious sense of humor. He possessed a big personality, characterized by love and generosity, yet fortified by strength that wouldn’t tolerate nonsense. Even in the midst of spirited debates, Mark expressed his convictions with kindness, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mark found solace and joy in various pursuits. A dedicated bass fisherman and avid bowler, he appreciated the simple pleasures of life. His discerning taste extended to both bourbon and cigars, making him a true connoisseur. However, above all, Mark’s heart belonged to Michigan sports. A devoted fan of Jim Harbaugh, Michigan basketball, and football, his passion for these teams knew no bounds. Go Blue!

Yet, Mark’s greatest love was reserved for his family. He cherished them deeply and demonstrated his love through unwavering support and boundless generosity. Including his beloved German Shepherds, who were an integral part of his life.

Mark Allen Floyd will be remembered as a hardworking, humorous, and loving individual who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered. As we bid farewell, we celebrate the vibrant life he led and the enduring legacy of kindness and dedication he leaves behind. Mark’s absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit lives on in the memories of family and friends who were fortunate enough to share in his remarkable journey.

A celebration of Mark’s life will take place Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Milton Church of Christ 12155 Lascassas Pike, Milton, TN 37118. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service beginning immediately following visitation at 6:00 p.m. with Bro. Ted Batey officiating.
