Mark Allen Featherstone, age 58, passed away on September 12, 2023 in his home in Columbia, Tennessee.
Mark was born on Valentine's Day in 1965, to the late Jack and Bonnie Featherstone.
A true craftsman at heart, Mark found solace and joy in his shop, where he could often be found working on his cars. His passion for automotive craftsmanship was matched only by his love for the open road as a dedicated Harley Davidson enthusiast. The roar of his motorcycle was a source of immense happiness.
Mark's infectious sense of humor brought joy to those around him. He had an uncanny ability to make people laugh, even in the most challenging times. His quick wit and playful spirit were cherished by family and friends alike.
Mark was rarely seen without his signature overalls, which had become a part of his identity. To many, those overalls were more than just clothing; they were a symbol of his authenticity and down-to-earth personality.
Mark also served proudly for the United States Marine Corps. He wore his uniform with pride.
For 19 years, Mark served as a locomotive engineer for CSX, where he exhibited the same dedication and commitment that characterized his entire life. His strong work ethic was matched only by his loyalty to his family and friends, who were the pillars of his world.
Mark Featherstone's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all those he touched with his kindness, laughter, and love. His legacy serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion, generosity, and living life to the fullest.
Mark is survived by his loving family and a community of friends who will forever cherish the moments they shared with him. His memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
Mark is survived by his loving family: sister Jackie McCune, brother Danny Featherstone, sister Lora Featherstone Scott and several nieces and nephews.
