Mark Christopher Brooks, age 45 of Columbia, passed away January 24, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Mark was born September 24, 1970 to Jerry and Linda Collins Brooks in Columbia, Tennessee.
The family held a private visitation on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from Noon until 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Graveside services were held at Polk Memorial Gardens following the visitation at 1:30 p.m.
The city of Columbia employees and the Parks and Recreation Department served as honorary pallbearers.
Mark is survived by his mother Linda Sue Collins of Columbia; aunt: Barbara (James) Kelley; uncles: Tommy (Pam) Collins, Jeff (Denise) Collins, Bobby (Barbara) Brooks; aunts: Linda (Ray) Hutcherson, and Margaret Brooks; stepmother: Gail Brooks; step sisters: Dana Sharp and Heather (Eric) Shore; step brother: Chris Sharp. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Brooks, his maternal grandparents, Jane and Tom Collins and paternal grandparents, Odell Tillman and Margaret Brooks, uncles John "J.T." Brooks and Carl Brooks, and his aunt Elizabeth Brooks. .
