Marjorie Lou McClintock

April 15, 1927 — February 18, 2025

Nashville

Our dear mom Marjorie Lou McClintock (Gade) passed away early this morning, peacefully, surrounded by the family she loved. She was 97…just a couple of months from celebrating 98. Marge is survived by her daughter Jana (Gus), son Jason, granddaughter Liberty (Anthony), great-grandson Trent, and stepdaughter Nancy (Garth), and one living sister Clarice.

For over 20 years, her son Jason was her devoted caregiver; they shared a happy life in a beautiful home on Hummingbird Lane, Paradise Valley—a life estate provided by her sister Eva Lyn Ralston. The family is very grateful to Bill Cosman, Evie’s son and Trustee, for being so gracious in fulfilling his mom’s wishes.

Marge’s life was an adventure, and she made the most of it. She grew up in Sunol, Nebraska—one of 11 kids—and was especially close to her sisters June and Evie. They made their home in Scottsdale, Arizona, and her final place of rest will be there, with her sisters.

Marge’s path took her to Sydney, Nebraska (managing a movie theatre), Denver, Colorado (stewardess for Frontier Airlines—member of ‘Folded Wings’, manager for AD Jones Real Estate), Studio City, California (bookkeeper for Film producer Robert Evans, residential Real Estate broker, office manager and Controller for Gus Duffy Architect).

After retiring to Scottsdale to be with her sisters June and Evie, Marge travelled to Egypt, Bermuda, Kauai, London, Africa, with sisters and grown children. She was a ‘good camper’, always up for a poker game (usually came out ahead) and wonderful company wherever she was. She loved collecting fine English table settings; if you admired a piece, she made you take it with you.

Marge will be deeply missed—she was the definition of ‘family’ in both the traditional and the modern sense. Once you were in her circle, you were in for good. And good it was. She lived a long, long life. We enjoyed this past Valentines Day with her, and sadly said goodbye this morning.

She was 97, and just 2 months shy of 98, and never let you forget it.
