Marjorie Lee Brady, age 84 of Columbia, passed away March 24, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Marjorie was born August 26, 1928 to the late Ted Hay & Rosa Lee Cook Hay. She was the wife of Malcolm Brady who preceded her in death on December 30, 2012. Together, they were partners in everything including being his greatest fan during the racing season. For years she worked as a bookkeeper in the family business, the Speedy 66 and Brady’s Exxon at Northway. Marjorie was a member of the Baptist faith.
The family will gather with friends Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral services for Mrs. Brady will be conducted Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with William Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Santa Fe Cemetery.
Survivors include her children: Jim (Sheree) Brady, Jerry (Dianne) Brady, and Marvin Brady; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; brother: Robert (Bob) Hay; half brothers and sisters: Nolan (Gail) Hay, Carol (Debbie) Hay, Betty Turner, Roy (Sarah) Griggs, Tommy Hay, Gary Hay and Darlene Hay; special friends: Colleen Hargrove and Robbie Hamby. She is preceded in death by her husband Malcolm Brady and her brothers Danny and Glenn Hay.
Pallbearers will be Keith Brady, Joel Brady, David Brady, John Brady, Cameron Cothran and Ricky Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Stofel and Roy Griggs.
