Marilyn Martinez, age 91, passed away August 17, 2013 in Columbia, TN.
Marilyn was born July 25, 1922 to parents David Derickson and Ruth “Chapin” in Raton, New Mexico. Marilyn met her late husband Charles Martinez in elementary school, and were together ever since. They were married for 69 years. Marilyn was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Columbia, TN. She was known by many as a great mother to her family.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, August 22nd at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Marilyn is survived by: Daughters; Cathy (Charles Jackson) Stefon, and Charyl (Douglas) Moss, Sister; Madeline Christiansen, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by; Brothers; Neal Derickson, and Wendell Derickson.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Signature Healthcare, NHC Columbia, and Dr. Kennedy for their kindness, care, and compassion.
