Marie known as "Mammie" was born in Maury County on October 29, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Bessie Pearl Kennedy Webb. Mrs. Haskins was 73 years old and a resident of Aldridge Street in Columbia. Marie was the wife of the late Tom Haskins, Jr. Marie and Tom were married for 40 years until his death on October 30, 1993. Mrs. Haskins enjoyed going to yard sales and enjoyed doing yard work. Marie was much in love with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved surrounding herself with all of her family, grandchildren great-grandchildren and her church family. The love of her life was her little daschund named "Precious". Marie was a member of Colonial Meadows Church for Christ. To her family, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Haskins is survived by two daughters, Diane Ronnie Kelley of Columbia and Wanda Tim White of Mt. Pleasant; a son, Rickey Sherry Haskins of Columbia; three grandsons, Stephen Becky Kelley, Josh Stephanie Haskins and Elijah White; three granddaughters, Glenda Thomason, Samantha David Howell and Jessica Davis; five great-grandchildren, Tattiumn Davis, Justin Davis, Carleigh Thomason, Donnie Ray Howell and Cameron D'Ovidio; and best friend, Marie Cummins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Haskins will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 17, 2010 at Colonial Meadows Church for Christ with Rick Points and Ronnie Parrish officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in the Culleoka Community. The Haskins family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Colonial Meadows Church for Christ. Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of the arrangements.
Active pallbearers will be Jerry Hendrix, Stephen Kelley, Joshua Haskins, Donnie Thomason, Michael Roland, Jackie Roland, Derrick Potts and James Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be all the members of Colonial Meadows Church for Christ, members of the Maury County Board of Education, Dr. Darrell Rinehart, the staff of the Columbia Housing Authority and members of the Williamsport Family Baptist Church.
