Mrs. Margie Pullen Whitley, 83 , a resident of Iron Bridge Rd in Columbia, passed away Friday, August 27 at Baptist Hickman Nursing Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Whitley will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 29 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Columbia with Rev. David Homan and Rev. Telford Tharp officiating . Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born March 4, 1927 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Green Wesley Pullen and Maxie Reed Pullen. She was the wife of Thomas Whitley who preceded her in death. Margie was a retired supervisor at Weather Tamer. She loved quilting, gardening and especially loved all of her pets. She was a member of the Lasea Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children: Edna Kenneth Copley, Patricia Robert Capps of Lyles, TN, Sarah Jane Pickett of Lewisburg, Norris V. Whitley of Columbia, Billy C. Whitley of Columbia, Nancy K. Whitley of Cornersville, ; three brothers: Robert Betty Pullen of Athens , AL, George Robbie Pullen of Lyles, Everett Nellie Pullen of Columbia; grandchildren: Ken Copley of Lyles, Tara Gianakos of Bon Aqua, Ronald Clark, Jr. of Cornersville and Melissa Clark of Lewisburg; nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Gail Whitley; two brothers, Bobby and Joe Henry Pullen, two sisters, Bertie Sue Fagan and Dorothy Thomas.

Pallbearers will be Ken Copley, Ronald Clark, Jr. Steven Gianakos, Robert Pullen, Walt Lloyd and Gene Swaner.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all employees of the Baptist Hickman Nursing Home and Ricky Conner.
