Margie Louise Hodge, age 77, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Margie was born on May 23, 1944, to the late Laurie Ethridge and Ruby Brim Ethridge in Franklin, Tennessee.
A loving and dedicated mother and grandmother, Margie always made sure to top her sentences with “Love you more.”
Margie was devoted to her Christian faith, and faithfully read her bible every single night. Even long after the days, she was able, her family lovingly picked up where she left off. Margie strongly believed in honesty, and it was an integral part of who she was. So much that Margie was never shy to say what was on her mind.
Margie has been reunited with her husband, Lonnie “Joe” Hodge.
In addition to her husband, Margie is also preceded in death by her parents: Laurie Ethridge and Ruby Brim Ethridge; son: Bubba Harris; and sisters: Dorothy Swann and Marie Morris.
Margie is survived by her children: Beverly Crossin, Tandy (Roy) Wilson, Peggy Deason, Sheila Harris, Tony (Jo) Harris, Jerry (Tammy) Harris, David Carter; brother: Edward Ethridge; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brian Newcomb, Brandon Newcomb, Brent Newcomb, Shannon Luna, Bubba Harris, Jr., Thomas Harris, Jessie Harris, and J.R. Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Luna and Ja’Briel Gladden
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 25, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. A service for Margie will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Bro. Mike Giles officiating. Margie will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
