Mrs. Margaret Medley "Susie" Pierce, age 54, a resident of Sheepneck Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, September 14, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service for Mrs. Pierce will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, Sept. 17 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born October 14, 1954 in Nashville, TN, she was the daughter of Ruby Leona Sims Norton of Mt. Pleasant and the late Bennett Medley and the wife of Roger Pierce. She was a special wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who loved collecting dolls and bells. She worked as a truck driver for John Saunders and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughters: Michelle Isaac Kilpatrick of Linden and Teresa Danny Ragsdale of Columbia; sisters: Sara Troy Holcomb of Ethridge and Brenda Walter Dugger of Columbia; brother: Bennett Ginnings of Kingston Springs; grandchildren: Christopher and Corey Taylor of Summertown and Mercedes and Blake Estes of Columbia; special friend: Shelia Williams of Dickson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a step-father: Virgil Norton.
Pallbearers will be Jim Fleeman, Jonathan McNabb, Sam Kilpatrick, Walter Dugger, Gary Ginnings and Troy Holcomb.
