Margaret Matava Charpentier

Mrs. Margaret Matava Charpentier, age 83, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, February 12, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Inurnment will be at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery in Unionville, CT. Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of arrangements.

The Unionville, CT native was the daughter of the late Stephen and Eva Kostrisak Matava. She had worked as a manufacturing inspector at a Chas. W. House & Son and part time at Dunkin Donuts in Farmington, CT. Mrs. Charpentier was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her children: Lucinda Skip Spielman of Unionville, CT, Deborah Larry Tabor of Columbia, Timothy Waters and Michael Charpentier, both of CT; grandchildren: Christopher Ryan of Unionville, CT, Erin Waters of MA and Matthew Charpentier of Unionville, CT; one brother: Stephen Helen Matava of FL and one sister: Catherine Raymond Ward of Unionville, CT. She was preceded in death by brothers and sister: William Matava, Joseph Matava, Edward Matava and Mary Grabchuk.
