Margaret E. Benderman Hickman, 93, of Columbia, passed away at NHC Hillview in Columbia on Saturday, April 13, 2013.
A native of Maury County, Margaret was born to the late Carl R. Benderman and Maudie Lee Henson Benderman in 1919. She was a member of Rocky Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Columbia. For 36 years, she worked at Monsanto Chemical as an analyst where she retired.
Memorial services for Mrs. Hickman will be Friday, April 19, at 11:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Inurnment will follow the service at Polk Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Margaret is survived by: her sister, Shirley (Bill) Binkley of Franklin; her brother Ray Benderman of Tullahoma; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Felix McFarland Hickman; her sister, Marie Dietz; and her brother, James Benderman.
