Mrs. Margaret ?Dolly? Davis Odom, 84, a resident of Dugger Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, August 6, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Odom will be conducted Sunday, August 8, at 4:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Randy McNeese officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 2:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late William Allen and Mary Alice Chapman Davis and widow of Jim Cecil Wiley Odom. She was a retired seamstress with the Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing and a homemaker. She was a member of the Sandy Hook Church of Christ.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty James Gray and Ina Ricky Lovell, both of Mt. Pleasant and Kathy Mike Skora of Nashville; a son, Buford Shirley Odom of New Orleans, LA; a daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Odom of Crawford, GA; four sisters, Katie McKennon and Mildred Stokes, both of Nashville, Annie Bell Buchanan of Mt. Pleasant and Cora Faye Willie Bennett of Summertown; a brother, Clarence Davis of Mt. Pleasant; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Felix Odom; a sister, Florence Workman; three brothers, Elvin Davis, Cleveland Davis and Levi Davis.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will granddaughters.
