Mrs. Margaret Katherine Bowen Lovett, 72, wife of David Monroe Lovett and a resident of School Street in Columbia, died Thursday, February 24, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lovett will be conducted Sunday, February 27, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery at Culleoka. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Athens, Alabama native was the daughter of the late Leon and Mary Pack Bowen. She was a homemaker and attended the Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, seek-a-word puzzles, flowers, and angels.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by eight daughters, Barbara Lovett of Prospect, TN, Mary Bobby Street and Melissa Larry Gibson both of Columbia, TN, Judy Charles Lemay of Nashville, TN, Julie Percy McNeece and Pamela David Campbell both of Culleoka, TN, Imogene Keith Uselton of Pulaski, TN, and Liza Randy Fitzgerald of Shepardsville, KY; eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Walls and Betty Chapman; four brothers, Leon Bowen, Roger Bowen, Lewis Bowen, and Walter Bowen.
Pallbearers will be Charles LeMay, Raymond Osborne, Chris Osborne, Keith Uselton, Randy Fitzgerald, and David Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Joanne Clark, Mike Gibson, Bill Uselton, Joshua Snow, Dr. Thomas Farmer and staff, Floyd Pratt, and Robby Ridenour.
