Malloy Cummins

Mr. Malloy Cummins was born on March 5, 1963 in Maury County, Tennessee, to the late Malcolm Cummins and Annie Mae "Polly" Workman. He was married on July 26, 1980 to Barbara Bolton Cummins. Malloy and Barbara became the parents of two children: Brent Casey Cummins and Ashley Wayne Cummins. He lived in Mt. Pleasant all of his life and was well known in the community.

Malloy was a hard worker who did not like to put things off. His motto was to, "get this show on the road". He was an employee of J. R. N., Inc., working as a maintenance technician for 12 years. He also worked in maintenance at Sterling House and was an actively involved representative in the UAW at the Murray Ohio plant in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee for 10 years. Malloy was an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing, hunting, and riding horses.

On May, 9, 2011, Malloy Cummins lost his long and hard-fought battle with cancer as he passed away after having a wonderful weekend with his beloved family.

Funeral services for Mr. Cummins will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Interment will follow in the Spencer Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In addition to his wife and children, Mr. Cummins is survived by his grandchildren: Cara Hannah, Andrew Cummins, Baylee Cummins and Shelbi Marshall, all of Mt. Pleasant; his brothers: Stephen Rebecca Cummins of Valparaiso, FL and Larry Faye Cummins of Mt. Pleasant, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Britt Cummins, Michael Cummins, Chris Cummins, Bob Cummins, Allen Massey and Jason O'guin. Honorary pallbearers will be his friends at JRN and Sterling House.
