Mack Mcclain

September 6, 1936 — May 23, 2002

Mr. Mack McClain, 65, a resident of Washington Avenue in Mt.Pleasant, died Thursday, May 23, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. McClain will be conducted Saturday, May 25, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Phillip Wright and Reverend Eugene Barrett officiating. Burial will be in the McClain Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home.


The Lewis County native was the son of the late Felix Martin and Minnie Johnson McClain. He was the husband of Betty Pollock McClain of Mt. Pleasant. He was retired Sales manager for Industrial Products and member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 daughters, Sherry Eric Scheitel of Culleoka, TN and Emily M. Donald Trader of Columbia, TN; a son, Jon P. Missy McClain of Columbia, TN; 5 grandchildren, Zachary Scheitel and Windsor Scheitel of Culleoka, TN, Aurelia Trader of Paris, France, Samuel McClain and Julia McClain of Columbia, TN; 4 sisters, Elaine Chirtel of Sarasota, FL, Carmen Jones of Florida, Zula McClain of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Pat La Doux of Woodbury, TN; 2 brothers, Jimmy McClain and Forrest McClain of Mt. Pleasant, TN.

Pallbearers will be Sean Whittaker, David Dailey, Randy Workman, Bobby Nolan, Bradley Kelley, and Don Pollock. Honorary pallbearers will be Employees of Industrial Products, Hay Long High School Class of 1954, Dr. Stephen Simmons, Dr. Amit Choksi, Dr. Bruce Roth, Randy Giles, Richard Johnson, Curtis Johnson, Luke Ross, and Paul Dunning.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant Building Fund or Mack McClain Scholarship Fund at Columbia State Community College P.O. Box 1315 Columbia, Tennessee 38402.
