Mr. Mack Dudley Barber, 82, formerly of Hohenwald and a resident of Rainbow Circle in Columbia , passed away Monday, November 7, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Barber will be conducted Friday November 11, 2005 at 11 :00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Downey Cemetery in Hohenwald. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home with masonic rites being recited at 6:00 p.m.
The Linden, Tennessee native was the son of the late William Richard and Nancy Evelyn Dudley Barber and the husband of Gracy Pauline Halbrooks Barber. Mr. Barber was a graduate of the Perry County High School and a machine operator for E. I. Dupont and part time repairman of guitars and fiddles. Playing music was the love of his life. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and a fifty year member of the Hohenwald Lodge #607 of F & AM..
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Janice Fay Rick Barber Cunningham of Panama City, FL, son, Michael William Sharon Kaye Barber, Sr. of Lascassas, TN; three grandsons, Michael William Barber who is serving our country in the U.S. Navy in Santa-Rita, Guam, Patrick Dudley Barber who is serving our country in the U.S. Navy in Kingsbay, GA, and Ricky H. Cunningham, II of Columbia, TN;
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren and friends of family.
