Mabel Virginia Yocom McDowell, age 86, passed away in her home in Decherd, TN, on May 11, 2020.
Mabel was born on February 28, 1934, in Lawrenceburg, TN, to her late parents Martin and Effie Evans. She graduated from the Vanderbilt School of Nursing and spent the duration of her career working as an LPN. She was of the Christian faith, attending both Baptist and Methodist Churchs throughout her life.
Mabel is proceeded in death by her first husband, Gene Austin Yocom, as well as John McDowell, who she later married. She is survived by her son; Timothy Yocom. Her son Tim said "there is not a day that she didn't bring him some piece of happiness."
