Lynn Hamby Freemon

Mrs. Lynn Hamby Freemon was born August 15, 1951 in Florence, Alabama, the daughter of Mrs. Robbie Joiner Hamby of Columbia and the late Dalton Hamby. Lynn was the office manager for Caledonian Financial in Columbia. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church where she was church secretary for a number of years. Lynn was the wife of the late Alton "Buddy" Freemon who preceded her in death on April 29 of this year.

Survivors in addition to her mother include her daughter: Robyn Doug Anderson of Columbia; granddaughter: Lyndsey Curtis of Columbia; two brothers: Mike Sharon Hamby of Thompson Station and Gary Anita Hamby of Columbia; one niece: Kristi James Tomlinson; three nephews: Jason Hamby, Brian Hamby and Trevor Hamby; step-children: Buddy Wayne Freemon and Dawn Beckham; step-grandchildren: Austin Freemon Destiny Sims and Harley Beckham; special friends: Julie and Danny Stewart and all of her co-workers at Caledonian Financial. In addition to her father, Lynn was preceded in death by her grandparents whom she dearly loved, John and Georgia Joiner.

Lynn passed away on Friday evening at Alive Hospice in Nashville surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. David Zeigler officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Danny Stewart, Cody Stewart, Mark Hines, Brian Hamby, Jason Hamby and Montee Sneed.
