Lucille Massey, age 93 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Maury Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Massey was born in Columbia September 11, 1919, to the late John William Henson and Roxie Walls Henson. Lucille spent time working at the Dairy Gem in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of Sandy Hook Church of Christ.
Services for Ms. Massey will be Monday, February 4, 2013, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home Mt. Pleasant. Family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. The burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Grandsons, great-grandsons and the only great-great-grandson Liam will serve as Pallbearers. The service will be officiated by Sonny Massey, Mike Cook, Michael Hutton, and Jeff Waldrop.
Lucille is survived by: Three daughters; June (Boyd) Wood of Columbia, Linda (Clyde) Harris of Culleoka, and Virginia (Carl) Davis of Columbia; One son; Sonny (Linda) Massey also of Columbia; Ten grandchildren; Genia (Derrick) Muncy, John Patrick Massey, Joseph Daniel Massey, Tim (Dawn Hildenbrant) Harris, Suzanna White all of Columbia, Kerri (Mike) Cook of Mt. Pleasant, Holly (Michael) Hutton of Springfield, MO, Mike (Angela Batts) Harris, Brad Harris both of Culleoka, and Ben Harris of Ethridge; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild Liam Schmitt Matzen.
