Lucien “Junior” Jacobs, Jr., age 78 of Culleoka, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his residence.
Lucien was born September 12, 1937 in Ariton, Alabama to Herman Lucien Jacobs and Inez Ragan Jacobs. He enjoyed being a craftsman, especially building and creating bird houses, knives, and many different things. Junior will be remembered as a hard worker. In his early life, he worked in textile mills. Above all, Junior loved the Lord, his wife, and cared deeply for his family.
Survivors include his sister, Glenda (Bubba) Fizer; his children, Debbie (Tony) Cannata, Deloris Ann (Glenn B.) Smith, Danny (Linda) Jacobs Lynn (Joel) Barnes; grandchildren, James (Becca) Anderson, Nickie (Ray) Overstreet, Matthew (Michelle) Cannata, Shawn (Andrea) Jacobs, Buffy Smith, Shane Jacobs, Amy Kelley, Joesph (Jessica) Barnes, Joey Beckum, Michelle Paulk, Rodney Beckum, and Chad Beckum; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Anderson, Michael Martin, Peyton Anderson, Timmy Overstreet, Alex Overstreet, Jonathan Smith, Gavin Smith, Hayden Smith, Kassie Black, Jayce Jacobs, Devyn Clavette, Colyn Clavette, Domynic Clavette, Mason Jacobs, Jaxson Jacobs, Dakoda Jacobs Kelley, Olvia Jacobs Jones, Aliyah Barnes, and Toby Barnes.
Junior is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Scott Jacobs; grandchildren, Crystal Cannata Smith, Tyler Jacobs Kelley, and Tucker Jacobs Jones.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Pentecostals of Columbia of Columbia from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at The Pentecostals of Columbia on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jason Keyser and Rev. Matthew Cannata officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The Pentecostals of Columbia of Columbia is located at 955 Baker Rd, Columbia, TN 38401.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Jacobs, James Anderson, Joseph Barnes, Jace Jacobs, Ray Overstreet, and Timmy Overstreet.
Junior leaves behind the following message, “No matter how high the mountain, or how low the valley, always praise the Lord!”
