Loyd Huckaby, Jr.

Mr. Loyd Huckaby, Jr, age 73, a resident of Tindell Lane in Columbia, passed away on Thursday, August 27, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jeff Jacob officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Maury County native was born November 29, 1935, the son of the late Loyd Huckaby, Sr. and Emmie White Huckaby. He was the husband of Elaine Green Huckaby for 51 years. Loyd was retired from Monsanto Solutia in the maintenance department and worked for Robins Security. Loyd was a member of Cattlemen's Association and raised and showed Tennessee Walking Horses.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a son: Kerry Kara Huckaby of Columbia; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Dodson of Columbia; one brother: Norman Dale Jean Huckaby of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren: Jackson Loyd Huckaby and Linton Blaine Huckaby of Columbia; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie and Theola Hood, Jeff Crosslin, Jeff Green and Pete and Louise Banks.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 222 West 7th St., Columbia, TN 38401 or Craft Memorial United Methodist Church, 907 Hatcher Lane, Columbia, TN 38401.
