Mrs. Louise Virginia Womack Davis, 77, formerly of Hixson, Tennessee and a resident of Old Zion Road in Columbia, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be conducted Thursday evening, June 2, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Dave Baker officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home. Out-of-town services will be conducted Monday, June 6, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. EST at the Williamson and Sons Funeral Home in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. Burial will be in the Hamilton County Memorial Park in Chattanooga. The family will visit with friends after 12:00 noon Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home.
The Chattanooga native was the daughter of the late John P. and Sarah E. Pritcher Womack. She was the widow of Samuel John Davis who died in 1980. She was a former clerk and cook in the Hamilton County area, was an avid reader and loved crocheting. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Gary Holman of Columbia, TN; three sons, John Walter ?Johnny? MiHye Davis of Hixson, TN, Gerald Wayne ?Jerry? Barbara Davis of Chatsworth, GA, and Clyde Terrell ?Terry? Davis of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters, Ethel Parker of Hixson, TN and Judy Lonnie Sunderland of Daisy, TN; three brothers, Marvin Womack of Florida, W.R. Doris Womack of Hixson, TN, and Allen Lorraine Womack of Soddy Daisy, TN; twelve grandchildren, Casey Becky Robinson, Shannon Holman, Eric Erica Holman, and Faith Adkins all of Columbia, TN, Leslie Carroll of LaVergne, TN, Jenny Don Carr of Zion, IL, Joy James Steele of Canton, GA, Jeremy Davis of Richmond, VA, Cherish Craig Pierce of Chatsworth, GA, Shay Davis, Josh Secret Davis and Courtney Daniel Williams all of Chattanooga, TN; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 children, Billy Ray Davis and Donald Eugene ?Gene? Davis; several sisters and brothers.
Pallbearers will be Shay Davis, Josh Davis, Eric Holman, Casey Robinson, Jeremy Davis, and Don Carr. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons, Samuel Jackson Corbin, Cole Thomas Atkins, Thomas Ryan Carroll, Grayson Taylor Pierce, Damon Cade Davis, James Austin Steele, and Brady Davis Pierce.
