Louise Anderson Uzzell, age 96, passed away at NHC Columbia on Sunday, December 1, 2019.
Louise was a native of Maury County. She was born on January 15, 1923 to the late Thomas Bailey Anderson Sr. and Mattie Park Hayes Anderson. She married Frank Ross Uzzell, who passed in1986, they were together for 44 wonderful years. She was a member of Pleasant Mount Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters: Carolyn Uzzell (Jerry) Park, Gayle Uzzell (Jimmy) Duncan and Pansy Uzzell Rinks Adkins Morrow; grandchildren: Amanda (Randy) Bush, Michael (Barbara) Park, Stephanie (Michael) Mayberry, Jennifer Duncan, Richard (Terri) Rinks, Roger Rinks, Russell Rinks, Wendy Adkins, and James Ross Morrow; and 13 great grandchildren; brother: Thomas Bailey Anderson, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sons: Lance Corporal Frank Nelson Uzzell USMC and Douglas Wayne Uzzell; sisters: Clare Mae Anderson Ervin and Pauline Anderson; brothers: John Beecher (J.B.) Anderson, Vaden Anderson, Morgan Anderson, Paul Anderson, Malcolm (Curtis) Anderson and twin brother: Lewis Anderson.
The family will visit with friends on December 4, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home, Columbia from 12:00 PM until service time. Services will be at 2:00 PM, December 4, 2019 with Rev. Byrd Broyles officiating and Michael Mayberry delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are grandsons: Michael Park, Richard Rinks, and Roger Rinks; great grandsons: Tristan Bush, Blake Mayberry, and Jacob Mayberry.
The family extends our thanks to the staff at NHC Columbia for the loving care they gave our loved one for the last 8 years. We also extend our thanks to the staff of Caris Healthcare.
In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made out to the local chapter of the VFW to the Frank Nelson Uzzell Marine Scholarship.
