Louise Smith Workman

September 24, 1934 — March 15, 2005

Mrs. Violet Louise Smith Workman, 70, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at her residence on Brown Workman Road in the Sandy Hook Community.

Funeral services for Mrs. Workman will be conducted Friday, March 18, 2005 at 1:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Dickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in the Blowing Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

The Emporia, Kansas native from the Indian Reservation was the daughter of the late William Levi and Gladys Marie Grimes Smith. She was the widow of Tildon Mack Workman who died in 2002 . Mrs. Workman was a homemaker and a mother to many and collected porcelain dolls. She enjoyed reading and working jigsaw puzzles and was a member of the Church of Christ.


She is survived by two daughters, Judy Workman and Shelia Howell both of Columbia, TN; six sons, Elmer Nancy Workman of Summertown and Tildon ?Lee? Patricia Workman of Mt. Pleasant, Roger Pam Workman and Ronald ?Rusty? Pam Workman of Columbia, Jimmy Connie Workman of Ethridge, TN, and Jeremy Brittany Workman of Martin, TN, three sisters, Bertha Rhone and Lillian Murray both of Michigan, Rachel Vaughn of Illinois; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Hughes and Emily Smith and two sons Danny Ray Workman and Angel Workman; two brothers Billy Smith and Roger Smith; a granddaughter Joann Workman Martin.

Pallbearers will be Bill Workman, Richard ?Dickey? Davis, Robin Workman, Ray Workman, Antione Richardson, Bob Smith, Michael Workman, and Van Workman.

Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters and grandsons.

Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
