Louise Barnett Boyd

Mrs. Louise Barnett Boyd, 84, widow of Harold Miller Boyd and a resident of Glass Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at NHC/ Hillview Health Care.

Funeral services for Mrs. Boyd will be conducted Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Dennis Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Iron City native was the daughter of the late William Avery and Rosie Lee Littrell Barnett. She was a homemaker and was an ?Avon Lady? for many years. She spent a great amount of time writing songs and poems, was an excellent cook, her specialty being ?daughter-in-law? pie, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Boyd was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Ernesto Cube of Radford, VA; four sons, William H. ?Willie? Sue Boyd, Charles A. ?Charlie? Ruby Boyd, David Linda Boyd, and Donald Carol Boyd all of Mt. Pleasant, TN; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Roberts of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Mrs. Nick Marinos of St. Louis, MO; a brother, Herman Barnett of Columbia, TN; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Martha Hull, Lotta Simmons, Elizabeth Hinson, Betty Johnson, Annie Peyton, Dot Boshers, Sara Gibson, and the active and inactive deacons of First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

Memorials may be made to the music department at your church of choice.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her long-time caregiver, Sharon Centrella, Dr. Robert Bain, and Karen Perry and the nursing staff of NHC/Hillview Health Care.
